Quadruple is still on for Liverpool!

The treble winning Manchester United team from 1999, is still considered as one of the best team to ever grace the Premier League. Especially in England, there are multiple ways to win the treble. The Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League is the real treble. The Carabao Cup and Europa League aren’t considered part of the treble. The Carabao Cup does count as a part of the quadruple. Winning the quadruple is so unique, no Premier League side ever managed to do this. Liverpool is at this moment of time, so far into the season, still in on for winning the quadruple. In this article we discuss the likelyhood of Liverpool winning the quadruple this season.

Liverpool’s road to the quadruple: Step 1 ✓

The first possible step in winning the quadruple is to win the Carabao Cup in February. Liverpool played the final against Chelsea and won it on penalties. The story of this final was the goalkeeper substitution by Thomas Tuchel. The German manager decided to take Mendy off and put Kepa in the goal for the penalties. After failing to stop any of the 11 penalties taken against him, Kepa missed the 11th Chelsea penalty. This miss gave Liverpool the first trophy of the season.

Road to the quadruple step 2: FA Cup

The FA Cup final on the 15th of May against Chelsea, will be Liverpool’s second final this season. They played a very strong FA Cup tournament so far and would like to get their second English Cup win this season. Liverpool fans can book their FA Cup final Liverpool v Chelsea tickets via our booking system.

Road to the quadruple step 3: Premier League

It might sound strange, with the Champions League also being on the board, but the Premier League is probably the hardest task for Liverpool within this hunt for the quadruple. They are currently one point behind Manchester City, with 32 games played. Liverpool does have a better goal difference at the moment. Liverpool’s schedule is a little bit harder, with facing Tottenham Hotspur within a few weeks. Manchester City played all their big six rivals already twice this season. Will City win every single match, or are they going to give Liverpool a chance to take over?

Road to the quadruple step 4: Champions League

Liverpool is in the Champions League semi-final against Villarreal. We’ve still got some Liverpool v Villarreal tickets available. The Reds in form, should be able to deal with Villarreal over two legs. If they win this tie, they go to the Champions League final in Paris, where they will face either Manchester City or Real Madrid. At this moment in time, Liverpool won’t fear any opponent. They are in an amazing form and will feel confident about every match.
