Manchester City takes the lead in the Premier League
Manchester City played this Saturday an away match against Watford. They knew before this match that Liverpool took the lead on the table, after Chelsea lost against West Ham United. A win in this match would bring Manchester City on 35 points, one more that Liverpool and two more than Chelsea. There couldn’t be a better motivation for Manchester City to start this match against Watford.

The motivation that the first spot on the Premier League table is insight, helped Manchester City in this match. Within four minutes they took the lead, when Raheem Sterling finished a ball he received form Phil Foden. Little less than 30 minutes later, the man in form stood up, Bernardo Silva scored a great goal to double the lead for Manchester City. A 2-0 lead that should be enough for Pep Guardiola’s side to bring the three points over the line and take the first spot in the league.Despite some attempts, no other goals got scored in the first half.
Victory over the line
Once again it was Bernardo Silva who scored in the second half. The Portuguese player who was on the verge of leaving the club in the summer, proved to be a very valuable asset in the Manchester City team. With his second goal of the evening, he lifted the score to 3-0. In the 74th minute, Cucho Hernandez whiped out Man City’s clean sheet by scoring the 1-3. A good goal for Watford, but nowhere near enough for the Hornets to git something out of this match. Manchester City won it with 3-1 and is now the new Premier League leader. They won their last five Premier League games and seem to be hitting top form at the moment.
