Arsenal back on earth after Liverpool defeat

Arsenal’s season started in the worst possible way. After three games the Gunners were still waiting for their first goal and first points of the season. Ever since that game Arsenal stayed unbeaten for eight consecutive games. The away match against Liverpool was seen as a real test for Arsenal to see where they stand. A victory in this match would mean they passed Liverpool on the Premier League table. A loss would mean the gap to the top 4 would increase.

Ramsdale trying to save the day

On their day Liverpool one of the best teams in the World. Today they played a very descent first half, but it was Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale who made quite a few saves in the first half. The only time he wasn’t able to get his hands good enough on the ball, it immediately led to the 1-0 for Liverpool. This goal came on the verge of half-time, so very unfortunate for Arsenal, but at exactly the right time for Liverpool.

Arsenal helps Liverpool

Early in the second Arsenal Arsenal helped Liverpool a little bit. Nuno Tavares played the ball back, but he didn’t saw Diogo Jota standing there. The Portuguese player thanked Tavares for the ball and put it in the goal behind Ramsdale. The two goal lead eased the Liverpool players and Arsenal wasn’t able to do anything back. Liverpool played the ball around waiting for some more opportunities. A perfect assist from Sadio Mane gave Mohamed Salah his 11th goal of this season.

Minamino got subbed on and scored the 4-0 for Liverpool. Arsenal now knows there aren’t ready for the top of the table, but they should keep their heads up and go on to next week.
