Manchester United recovers from Liverpool defeat

The match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United was the one everybody looked forward to. A game between two big six teams, who both aren’t in their best form. Managers of both teams are under fire for some time now and this match might be the end for one of either Ole Gunnar Solksjaer or Nuno Espirito Santo.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer king in ducking for getting fired

Manchester United is still recovering from the 0-5 loss at home against rivals Liverpool. For many Man United fans this humiliation was enough to say it’s time for Ole to go. Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane and Erik ten Hag are three managers that Man United fans would love to see at their club. The Manchester United manager somehow always knows how to duck from getting the sack. Every time his position is under serious pressure he gets a result that keeps him safe for some longer.

Cristiano Ronaldo steps up

Where Tottenham Hotspur saw a goal cancelled due to offside, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who stepped up in the first half. He scored a great goal in the 39th minute.

In the 64th minute he assisted Edison Cavani for the second goal. The 2-0 lead with just under 30 minute was enough for Man United to seal the deal. Especially since Tottenham Hotspur was absolutely clueless during this match. They weren’t able to create any kind of danger. It’s a very sad conclusion, but they don’t look anywhere near the Tottenham that competed for the title. In the end Marcus Rashford made it even worse with scoring the 0-3. For Manchester United this was a much needed result, since they play Manchester City next weekend. Tottenham Hotspur faces another tough away match against Everton. Will Nuno still be at the helm for that game? We will see in a few days!
