Arsenal beats Leicester City after strong performance

For the second week in a row, Arsenal was one of the two teams in the opening game of the Premier League weekend. It suits them pretty good playing the first match of the weekend. The early start on Saturday suited Arsenal very well. It looked like their opponent Leicester City needed some time to wake up. The moment the team woken up, it was all too late.

Great start by Arsenal

The Gunners seem to have found some kind of form. They came flying out of the dressing room. Gabriel opened the score in the fifth minute of the game. 13 minutes later it was Emil Smith-Rowe who doubled the score. Leicester City was already two goals down before the even noticed the match has started. Halfway the first half it loooked like Leicester City was finally awake, but they had a mountain to climb before getting back in the match.

Outstanding performance Ramsdale

Leicester City tried to do something towards the end of the first half, but every attempt was denied by Aaron Ramsdale. The English goalkeeper had one of if not the best performance of his Arsenal career so far. It was impossible for Leicester City to get the ball past Ramsdale.

Next weekend

Arsenal can extend their run of 9 games unbeatable when they face Watford on Sunday next weekend. Leicester City plays at the same moment an away match against Leeds United. Leeds isn’t in the form they were a year ago, so it should be a match that Leicester City can win. Book all your Premier League tickets via our website and support your time live in action!
