Another disappointing result for Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will feel the pressure of the fans building up. Manchester United isn’t in the best form of their season. The match against Everton ended in a 1-1 draw. Antony Martial and Andros Townsend both scored a goal. The Mancunians are currently in third place but can drop to 5th depending on today’s results. Something that doesn’t go well with their fans, who had high hopes for this season.

Manchester United in terrible form

The last time Man United won with conviction was on the 11th of September against Newcastle United. This match was won with 4-1 thanks to two goals by Cristiano Ronaldo. Since then, they lost against Young Boys (2-1), won with a late goal against West Ham United in the Premier League (2-1), lost a few days later in the EFL Cup against the Hammers (0-1), lost against Aston Villa (0-1), won with a last-minute winner against Villarreal (2-1) and drew against Everton. It was Townsend who scored the equaliser to get a point for Everton.

High hopes

With 1 point from possible 6 in the last two Premier League home matches, Man United isn’t off the level fans are expecting. The fans were very optimistic at the start of the season with the signings of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Now a month later, the level of play isn’t what was expected. Fans are getting annoyed by their manager because of his love for McTominay and Fred, while players like Matic and Van der Beek are left out of the team. With the players they’ve got, Manchester United should be able to win matches against Aston Villa and Everton. Especially since Everton missed a lot of important players with injuries. Solskjaer decided to bench players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Paul Pogba for this match. A decision that doesn’t go well when you drop points.
