Tottenham Hotspur biggest surprise during opening weekend

Round 1 of the Premier League is done! It’s now time to look at the last match of this Premier League weekend. Out of the big six clubs, Tottenham Hotspur was the one with the most question marks behind their name before this season. There is so much unsure around the club, that nobody really had any idea how they would perform this season. There are still a lot of question marks around the club, but the 1-0 victory over Manchester City silenced the critics for now.

Managerial situation Tottenham Hotspur

There are a few topics around Tottenham Hotspur that should be answered during the season. The first one is the managerial situation. It took the Spurs months to sign a replacement of Jose Mourinho. It’s clear that Nuno Espirito Santo wasn’t their first choice. That doesn’t mean he isn’t going to do a good job in North London. The first signs are very positive with the victory over Manchester City. The Spurs looked to be very solid in defense and Heung-Min Son scored a great goal.

Who will be their striker?

The biggest question mark is still about the status of world class striker Harry Kane. In an interview with Gary Neville at the end of last season, Kane announced his desire to leave the club this summer transfer window. In the meantime, Manchester City made an offer to Tottenham Hotspur. Daniel Levy friendly refused this offer. Which led to a strike by Harry Kane. He refused to train and now it’s unclear what his situation is. Even Nuno Espirito Santo has no idea what will happen with Kane. Is the 1-0 victory over Man City a reason for Kane to change his mind, or will be stay adamant that’s it’s time to leave? We will know within a few weeks for sure. In the meantime, Tottenham started the season well and tickets for Tottenham are in high demand in our marketplace now.
