Track Tickets
Chelsea has had a strange season last year. They haven’t been in the titlerace, sacked manager Frank Lampard, hired Thomas Tüchel and won the Champions League. It was a season of extremes to say it likely. Suddenly, they are considered one of the favourites to win the 2021-2022 Premier League season. That was even before they made a single transfer.
World class striker joins Chelsea
Everybody who watched a bunch of Chelsea matches knows what their biggest problem was. Striker Timo Werner got in the right positions, but he failed to pull the trigger way too many times. That’s why Chelsea decided to go on the market for a world class striker. They needed a striker who guarantees goals and they found one. Former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku returns at the club, after he won the Serie A with Inter last season. Lukaku has become one of the best strikers around and he will without a doubt score loads of goals this season.

Straightforward victory at home
Chelsea opened their Premier League season with a home match against Crystal Palace. The team managed where Patrick Vieira made his managerial debut in the Premier League, has been a tough opponent over the years. This time it was all plain sailing for the Blues. Marcos Alonso and Christian Pulisic set the score at 2-0 for Chelsea at half-time. Defender Trevor Chalobah made his Premier League debut, and he scored the final goal of the match. The 3-0 victory was very convincing by Chelsea. They are clearly one of the favourites for the Premier League this season.
