Manchester United kickstarts their season

Manchester United hit the ground running at the start of the 2021-2022 Premier League season. The day couldn’t start any better for Man United fans. They were allowed back at Olf Trafford after a long time playing without fans due to Covid-19. Today was the long-waited day that they were finally able to fill the stadium again. As a surprise for the returned fans, Manchester United announced the signing of Raphaël Varane on the pitch before the match.

The announcement of Varane was the first time Manchester United fans got to cheer today. Which wasn’t the only time. Bruno Fernandes opened the score in the 30th minute, after a great assist by Paul Pogba. Early in the second half it was Luke Ayling who equalised the score with an absolute screamer. This goal was the sign for Paul Pogba to take the control of the game back in his hands. He assisted both Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes in a space of two minutes. Lifting the score from 1-1 to 3-1. Another Bruno Fernandes goal and a Fred goal (on an assist of Pogba again), brought Manchester United a 5-1 victory.
