The Champions League final Liverpool vs Tottenham

The Champions League final is tomorrow already, and we are getting excited! Both Liverpool and Tottenham have had almost three weeks to prepare for this match and should be buzzing.

Spurs will be delighted to have some players back from injury in time for the final, but it gives Pochettino a dilemma on who should start the match. Vertonghen has returned from injury and looks certain to start the match with Alderweireld. Also, Aurier is fit again, and as Trippier has had an inconsistent season Pochettino might opt to start the former PSG man. In midfield Winks is nearly fully fit following from his groin surgery and could start in the center with Sissoko if not then Dier will probably play over Wanyama. Kane is also fit again but will he start the match? He is lacking match fitness and considering how the four attacking players have been playing, it should be a shame to let any of them sit out. Pochettino might decide to use Kane as an impact sub.

For Liverpool, the only major injury they currently have is Keita, who has been sidelined for a few weeks now and has been ruled out to play this match. Firminho was also injured for the last few matches of the Premier League season and missed the second leg against Barcelona, but he is back fit and expected to start along Salah and Mane. The back four is pretty set except there is a slight question mark about who will partner Van Dijk if it will be Lovren, Gomez, or Matip. The midfield is where there might be a surprise. Klopp likes to tinker with his midfield, however, for the big matches he likes to go with the midfield three of Milner, Wijnaldum, and Henderson. Let’s see who gets the nod, with Fabinho also having a good claim to start.

Liverpool go into the match as favorites to win as this is their second final in a row. However, Tottenham have had an incredible season, and anything can happen in the final.

Predicted score- Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham.
