Everton Tottenham Preview

Tottenham face Everton this Sunday at Goodison Park. This is the start of the festive period and both teams would like to get a win. Tottenham are currently in third place, whereas Everton are in 8th. Tottenham are looking to keep pace with the top two as they are only 6 points off of Liverpool in first.

Everton have not been in the best of form recently and have not kept a clean sheet or won in 4 league matches. They will be hoping that their defense can keep out Harry Kane and co. Everton are considered “the best of the rest” out of the top 6 and will be hoping that they can get a win and show why they deserve to challenge for one of the European places. However, will be worried about Spurs’ attack. Harry Kane loves to score against Everton and has scored a brace in his last three matches and will be looking to make it four in a row.

Tottenham beat their north London rivals on Wednesday in the League Cup 0-2. This is a big result for them after losing to Arsenal 4-2 in the Premier League last month. Spurs will be buzzing after the match because they are only two matches away from winning their first piece of silverware in 10 years. Spurs have been great away from home this season. They have won eight out of their 10 matches on the road, which is the best in the Premier League.

Spurs have not lost in six matches against Everton and will be looking to make it seven. However, Everton are strong at home and will put up a fight. It will be an intriguing game, hopefully filled with goals. Harry Kane is currently third in the top scorer list with nine goals and Richarlison is in 5th with eight goals. Both will be looking to improve this goal tally and get their sides the win.
