Manchester United transfer update

We’ve talked about it yesterday. Old Trafford is currently the centre of attention in the English transfer market. Jose Mourinho uses every single opportunity to tell everyone who wants to know that he thinks his squad is terrible and none of the Man United youngsters are at the required level to play at Old Trafford every two weeks. We wrote about the interest for several players and there appears to be news on a few of them. In this article we give the latest updates on some of the names mentioned yesterday.

The first one is German Centre Back Jerome Boateng. He plays for Bayern Munich and Manchester United is really interested to buy him. Their bid however was laughed away by the rekordmeister from Germany. Bayern Munich wants twice the amount of money that Man United is willing to pay. The player himself is done with the possible deal and told Mourinho he won’t be moving to Manchester.

Manchester United player Paul Pogba is wanted by Barcelona. The Spanish side was willing to offer cash plus Gomes and Yerry Mina. The rumours are they changed this bid and now are offering Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele in return for the French World Champion. It seems very unlikely that these rumours are serious. Barcelona paid over 100 million for Dembele last summer and we can’t see them getting rid of him already.

There are some serious claims that Man United and Tottenham Hotspur reached an agreement about Toby Alderweireld. The only condition is that Tottenham Hotspur finds a replacement for the Belgium centre-back. The deal is off when the Spurs fail to buy a new centre-back before the end of the transfer window. This can be crucial for Man United, since tomorrow is already the final day of the Premier League transfer window.
