Late winner for Spurs against Brighton

Somehow games between Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion are always a real joy to watch. Especially this season with managers like De Zerbi and Postecoglou, who both want their teams to play entertaining football. Earlier this season Brighton took a 4-0 lead, but saw Spurs getting close with 2 late goals and 1 disallowed goal. That match ended in a 4-2 victory and loads of football fans had a great night. This time it was the excitement in the end of the match which got people exited. A 90+6 winning goal by Johnson showed Spurs are fighting till the end once again.

Early lead by Brighton

Micky van der Ven was a player in the center of attention lately, as he was seen as the fastest Premier League player. This time he was at the center of attention for a negative reason. Early in the first half he fouled Danny Wellbeck in the box, leading to a penalty for Brighton. Gross perfectly netted from the spot, giving his team 0-1 lead. Brughton had the better of the play and deserved the lead at half-time. Spurs had the better of the play in the second half and the equaliser was only a matter of time. In the 61st minute it was Pape Matar Sarr who scored the 1-1.

Heung-Min Son return inspires Spurs

Tottenham’s star player Heung-Min Son returned at Spurs halfway the second half. His return comes a game too early for his liking. On the day of the Asian Cup final, Son was back in London. After a sad exit from the Asian Cup in the semi-final, Son entered the pitch directly after Sarr scored the equaliser. The Spurs fans were happy to see their big star back on the pitch and cheered him on. The impact Son had on this match, must be a bandage on the wound for the South Korean star player. In the 96th minute, he gave a perfect cross for Brendan Johnson to make the winning goal. This is already the third time Spurs won the match in the absolute dying seconds. Thanks to this goal, Spurs is back on the fourth spot, 1 point above Aston Villa. The Villans can take this spot back in their match against Manchester United on Sunday.
