Championship play off semi-finals

As the English football season draws to a close, the Championship division is preparing for the playoffs to determine the final promotion spot to the Premier League. The top two spots were secured by Burnley and Sheffield United, leaving the third to sixth-placed teams to compete for the final promotion spot. Two teams will get their hands on Championship Play Off final tickets.

Luton Town v Sunderland

Sunderland finished the season in sixth place with 69 points and will take on Luton Town, who finished in third place with 80 points, in the first leg of the playoffs on Saturday 13th May at 5.30 pm. In the second leg, which will take place on Tuesday 16th May at 8 pm, Luton Town will host Sunderland, hoping to secure a place in the playoff final.

Middlesbrough v Coventry City

Coventry City, who finished in fifth place with 70 points, will face off against Middlesbrough, who finished fourth with 75 points, in the first leg of the playoffs on Sunday 14th May at 12 pm. The second leg will take place on Wednesday 17th May at 8 pm, with Middlesbrough hosting Coventry City.

Promotion to Premier League

The playoffs promise to be a fiercely contested affair, with each team battling to secure the final promotion spot to the Premier League. Luton Town and Middlesbrough will feel the most confidence as the highest ranking teams in the semi-finals. But history has shown us that the form over an entire season, says nothing about the play off form. Sunderland and Coventry City will gladly take the underdog role and surprise everyone from this position. Book your tickets now and support your team in their attempt to get into the Premier League.
