France versus England huge draw in World Cup quarter finals
We’ve already seen some very good matches during this World Cup tournament and we’re going to see a lot more! One of the most epic fixtures in international football is France versus England. Both teams belong to the favourites to win this tournament, but one of them is going to drop out in the quarter finals.
France versus Poland
Poland played some terrible group stage matches, but they stepped up in their round of 16 match against France. They kept the French stars close for almost 45 minutes. Just before the end of the first half it was Giroud who opened the score. The Polish team pushed forward more and more in the second half, which opened their defensive line up for France. It was Kylian Mbappe who decided the match with the 2-0 and 3-0. In the dying second Robert Lewandowski got one back from the penalty spot.
England versus Senegal
In a tough first half, 2 beautiful flowing attack was enough for England to take a lead into half-time. It was England’s youngster Bellingham who assisted the old man Henderson for the 1-0. Phil Foden assisted Harry Kane for the second. A 2-0 lead for the Three Lions at half-time, was enough for fans to start buying England World Cup tickets. In the second half Bukayo Saka scored another goal to lift the score to 3-0. This was the final goal and another good victory for England.
France v England history
This match is going to be the 32nd time they will face each other but it’s only the third time this fixture is played during a World Cup tournament.
