For many fans of English football, the World Cup can’t come quick enough. The success of the Lionesses made English football fans hungry for more international football. They are already looking for the best England World Cup tickets. There are other countries playing in this tournament, that’s why we do a weekly preview on a single group during this tournament. In this week we’re talking about the teams in Group G.

Brazil

There is no World Cup, where Brazil doesn’t belong amongst the favourites to win the tournament. The Brazil team always has some extremely quality players in the squad. One glance on the potential of this team shows how strong they can be. They can play a front three or Neymar, Vinicius Jr and Raphina, while benching Jesus, Martinelli, Antony and Richarlison. With Alison Becker and Ederson, they can pick between the goalkeepers of Liverpool and Manchester City. Thiago Silva, Eder Militao, Marquinhos and Gabriel are a few defensive options. In midfield they can play the likes of Coutinho, Paqueta, Casemiro and Fabinho amongst others. Just take a minute to read those names again. If the manager can get them playing like a team, Brazil will be the favourite to win this tournament.

Serbia

It’s clear that Brazil is by far the favourites to win this group. The battle for the second place is going to be much tougher. Serbia qualified for this tournament, after beating Portugal on the last day of the qualification group stages, giving them the first place in their qualification group. Serbia has a good team with the likes of Tadic, Vlahovic, Mitrovic, Milinkovic-Savic and Kostic amongst others. With players of this quality, Serbia is definitely in contention to qualify for the knock-out stages.

Switzerland

Switzerland will be just like Serbia. They will try to claim the second spot behind Brazil in this group. With the likes of Akanji, Xhaka, Embolo and Seferovic, Switzerland has a very good team. Switzerland will end this group with the game against Serbia, this final match of the group, will be a very important one for both countries and their attempt to get through to the World Cup knockout stages.

Cameroon

Cameroon is responsible for the African influence in this group. They will battle with Serbia and Switzerland for the second place in this group. Anguissa, Choupo-Moting and Aboubakar are some of the biggest names in this squad. Cameroon starts this tournament against Switzerland, which is the perfect opportunity for both teams to show what they want to do this tournament. If you can get three points on the board after the first game, you’re off to a great start.
