2022 FA Cup final Liverpool versus Chelsea

Yesterday we wrote about the way Liverpool reached the FA Cup final. The Reds from London beat Manchester City at Wembley in the semi-final, bringing them back to Wembley for their first FA Cup final since 2011-2012. Today was the second semi-final at Wembley, when London sides Chelsea and Crystal Palace faced each other. Chelsea was the favourite team to win this battle and they did! Chelsea will play Liverpool at Wembley on the 14th of May. FA Cup final tickets are already available for fans on both sides!

Chelsea versus Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace choose to give Chelsea the ball and tried to hit them on the counter. In the first 45 minutes their plan was executed very well. Around the hour mark Crystal Palace players got a little bit more sloppy when their tiredness kicked in. This led to an opening goal for Chelsea by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Roughly ten minutes later Mason Mount doubled the lead for the Blues. A comfortable 2-0 lead with 15 minutes to go was enough for Chelsea to put the breaks on. They tried to play the ball around and bring the victory over the line. Chelsea succeeded and qualified for the FA Cup final against Liverpool.
