Brentford sting like bees during their Premier League debut
The Brentford team is often referred to as the Bees. A nickname they earned themself at their debut in the Premier league. Brentford is finally back in the highest flight, for the first time since 1947. The Bees were destined to return at the topflight for a few years now. Ever since Thomas Frank entered the club, theyโve been in an upwards direction. He joined Brentford as assistant manager in December 2016. Almost two years later manager Dean Smith left the club and Thomas Frank was promoted to the manager role.
Thomas Frank turned Brentford into a force
Thomas Frank really turned the club into a real force. They played two consecutive Championship play-off finals. Losing the 2020 edition was an utter disappointment for the Bees. Quite often you see teams dropping on the table after losing the play-off final. Brentford stayed calm and got the reward for that! The 2021 Championship playoff final was all about them. Swansea City didnโt stand a chance against the tenacious Bees. Brentford won with 2-0 and got their welldeserved promotion to the Premier League.
Brentford sting Arsenal during Premier League start
Everybody was exciting to see what Brentford was able to do in the Premier League. We can say they havenโt disappointed anyone with their start. Even though Arsenal isnโt the team they were early 2000โs, itโs still a big achievement for a newly promoted team to beat Arsenal at the start of the Premier League. Goals by Sergi Canรณs Tenรฉs and Christian Nรธrgaard gave Brentford their first three points. Bringing them to the top of the table for at least a half day. Itโs going to be interesting to see how they will progress during this new Premier League season. The emotions of the Brentford fans shows what it really means for them to be back at the top level.
