Chelsea crushes West Ham United 5-0

Chelsea delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, dismantling West Ham United 5-0 at Stamford Bridge. The emphatic win propelled the Blues ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League standings. Chelsea wasted no time asserting their authority, taking advantage of West Ham's lack of form. In the 15th minute, Cole Palmer reacted quickly to a rebound from Nicolas Jackson's attempt, slotting the ball into the net to put Chelsea in the lead and increase his season tally to 21 goals. Fifteen minutes later, Conor Gallagher doubled Chelsea's lead, and six minutes after that, former PSV star Noni Madueke added a third. Madueke headed in from a Thiago Silva cross to extend the lead, firmly establishing Chelsea's dominance.

Flying start in second half

Chelsea kept up their relentless pace in the second half. Three minutes after the interval, Jackson found the net again, this time assisted by Madueke, to make it 4-0. Despite a lackluster showing from West Ham, Chelsea spared them further embarrassment with a fifth and final goal from Jackson late in the game. The win gives Chelsea 54 points, putting them level with Manchester United, who trail on goal difference. Erik ten Hag's side will look to regain ground in their upcoming away fixture against Crystal Palace on Monday evening. Meanwhile, Chelsea will be buoyed by their impressive form as they push for a higher league finish.
