Jurgen Klopp misses out on final FA Cup triumph

Ever since Jurgen Klopp announced his retirement from Liverpool football club, it’s all about giving him the sending off he deserves. Liverpool fans are extremely thankful for all he did for the club and they want to see him as many trophies as possible this season. The EFL Cup is already the first trophy they won this season, which left the FA Cup, Premier League and Europa League. In this article we look at all these options.

FA Cup

In the FA Cup quarter final, Liverpool got drawn an away match against Manchester United. A tough away match, which became another FA Cup classic. Both teams have led the match at some point, but in the end extra time was needed. Liverpool took another lead in extra time, but Man United managed to come back once again. In the final minute of extra time Amad Diallo scored the winner for Manchester United. The Mancunians are now still in contention for the FA Cup final, while Klopp now knows he’s never going to win the FA Cup anymore.

Premier League

Dropping out of the FA Cup isn’t exactly the end of the season for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool. The Reds are currently in second place on the Premier League table, behind Arsenal on goal difference. The next round of Premier League football Liverpool plays at home against Brighton and Hove Albion, while Arsenal goes away to face Manchester City. There is a good opportunity for Liverpool to take back the lead of the table. After that round there are only 9 more rounds to play, from which Liverpool seems to have the easiest route to the end of the season.

Europa League

In his first season for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp got to the Europa League final. That year he lost the final against Sevilla. How great would it be if he ends his tenure at the club with another Europa League final? They will face Atalanta in the quarter finals, if they win this tie, Liverpool will face the winner of Benfica versus Olympique Marseille.
