NEWCASTLE UNITED TICKETS Newcastle Football Club based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne also known as the Magpies were formed in 1881. They turned professional in 1889, shortly after they then took over their fierce rivals West End and moved into their ground St James Park that to date has a capacity of 52,387. In 1893 Newcastle United became one of the giants winning three league titles and FA Cup by 1914, they then found themselves relegated in 1934 but came back after the Second World War winning the FA Cup three times in five years. FC Newcastle then had European success by winning the Fairs Cup – renamed the UEFA Cup in 1969. In recent years Newcastle have seen a string of managers come and go, their most recent appointment being Joe Kinnear taking charge following the departure of Kevin Keegan.
