Stadium Information
Name:
MKM Stadium
Capacity:
25,586
Address:
The Circle, Walton Street, Hull HU3 6HU, United Kingdom
Description:
The MKM Stadium has been Hull City's home since it opened in 2002, when the Tigers moved from their old Boothferry Park ground. Set in West Park just a short walk from the city centre, it's a modern, bowl-shaped arena with a continuous single tier of seats around three sides and a taller two-tier West Stand. Known previously as the KC Stadium and then the KCOM Stadium, it has been the MKM Stadium since 2021, and is shared with the city's rugby league side, Hull FC. Safe-standing areas were introduced in 2025, and on a big Premier League night the amber and black create a real wall of noise.
The Best Way to Travel to the MKM Stadium
Once you've booked your Hull City tickets, it's time to figure out how to get to the MKM Stadium. The ground sits in West Park, less than a mile from Hull city centre, and is easy to reach on foot, by car, or by public transport. Here are the best options for a matchday visit.
By Train
Hull Paragon Interchange, the city's main rail and bus station, is around a mile from the ground – roughly a 15–20 minute walk through the city centre and along Anlaby Road. Hull is served by direct trains from Doncaster, Leeds, Sheffield and London (via Hull Trains and other operators), making it a straightforward trip for away fans travelling in for the day.
By Car
For sat nav, use the postcode HU3 6HU. Coming into the city, follow the M62 and then the A63 towards Hull city centre; the stadium is signposted from there. The club's own car park on Walton Street is right across from the ground and usually costs around £5, though it fills up quickly and is slow to empty after the final whistle. There's also a matchday park-and-ride scheme into the city, which can save the hassle of parking near the ground.
By Bus
Local bus services run from Hull Paragon Interchange and along the main routes towards the stadium and West Park. From the interchange it's a short hop, and on matchdays the area around the ground is well served.
By Foot
Because the MKM Stadium is so close to the city centre, walking is one of the easiest options. From Paragon Interchange it's a pleasant 15–20 minute stroll out along Anlaby Road and through West Park, and on matchday you can simply follow the amber-and-black crowds.
MKM Stadium Guide
The MKM Stadium has four stands: the West Stand, the East Stand, the North Stand, and the South Stand. It's a modern bowl, so the views are excellent and unrestricted right around the ground, with only the West Stand rising to a second tier. Whatever match you're interested in, we have tickets for every Hull City game.
South Stand
Behind one goal is the South Stand, the home end and the most atmospheric part of the ground. Modelled on a traditional "Kop," it's where Hull City's most vocal supporters gather and where the noise builds on the big occasions. If you want the full Tigers experience, this is where you want to be.
West Stand
Running along one side is the West Stand (the Cranswick Plc Stand), the main stand and the only one with two tiers, split by a row of corporate boxes. It runs along the halfway line and holds the stadium's premium seating and hospitality, including the "Best Seat in the House" area, so it's the spot for the best central views and the top facilities.
East Stand
Opposite the main stand is the single-tier East Stand, which runs the length of the pitch and is given over to home supporters. With the modern bowl design, the views here are clear and unobstructed, making it a comfortable choice for families and first-time visitors.
North Stand
Behind the opposite goal is the North Stand, which houses the visiting supporters in its north-east corner, alongside the accessible seating area. As with the rest of this modern ground, the views are unrestricted.
Which Stand Should You Choose?
It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Hull City tickets. That's why we created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what matters most to you and you'll find the stand that fits what you're after.
| Priority | Best Stand | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best atmosphere | South Stand | The home end, where Hull City's loudest fans gather |
| Best view | West Stand (upper tier) | The only two-tier stand, with elevated, central views |
| First visit | South Stand | The full, traditional Tigers experience |
| Families | East Stand | Clear, unobstructed views along the side of the pitch |
| Premium / hospitality | West Stand | Corporate boxes, the "Best Seat in the House," and the best facilities |
| Visiting fans | North Stand | The MKM Stadium's designated away section |

Other Information
Founded in 1904 and known as the Tigers for their amber-and-black colours, Hull City are one of English football's great recent risers. Under owner Acun Ilıcalı, who took over in January 2022, the club has been rebuilt with ambition, and in 2025/26 head coach Sergej Jakirović delivered in his first full season: a sixth-place finish followed by a dramatic play-off final win over Middlesbrough at Wembley, settled by Oli McBurnie's stoppage-time goal. That result took Hull back to the Premier League for the first time since 2016/17. With promotion secured and the MKM Stadium buzzing again, the aim now is to make the most of life back in the top flight. Buy your Hull City tickets online now!
English influences
Few clubs are as proud of their local roots as Hull City. Hometown hero Dean Windass scored the goal that defines the club's modern history – the winner in the 2008 play-off final at Wembley that took the Tigers into the top flight for the very first time. Another Hull-born great, England international Nick Barmby, captained the club and later managed it, while record-breaking forwards Chris Chilton and Ken Wagstaff remain legends decades on. That local thread runs right through to today's side, captained by Hull-born full-back Lewie Coyle. In the dugout, Phil Brown led the club to that historic first promotion in 2008, and Steve Bruce took Hull to the 2014 FA Cup final and into European football.
Hull City Honours & Trophies
Hull City have never won a major trophy, and their honours come mostly from the lower divisions, but their recent history holds plenty of pride. The proudest days came in 2008, when the club reached the top flight for the first time in its history, and in 2014, when the Tigers reached the FA Cup final – losing a thriller 3–2 to Arsenal after extra time. That cup run also earned the club its only taste of European football, in the 2014/15 Europa League. Their roll of honour is made up of promotions and lower-division titles.
Third-Tier Titles (League One / Division Three):

Rivalries
Main Rivalry
Leeds United
Thanks to their relative geographic isolation in East Yorkshire, Hull City have never had one single fierce derby. In recent years, though, the Yorkshire clash with Leeds United has become the most eagerly anticipated rivalry, and with both clubs now in the Premier League the meetings carry plenty of edge.
Minor Rivalries
Grimsby Town
The club's most traditional local rivalry is the Humber derby with Grimsby Town, just across the estuary. The fixture has been rare in recent decades with the clubs in different divisions, but it remains the one with the deepest local roots.
Sheffield United
Another Yorkshire rivalry that grew during Hull's long spell in the Championship is the one with Sheffield United, with plenty of competitive, closely fought meetings between the sides.
