Champions League Semi-Final: Bayern 0-4 Real Madrid (agg 0-5)

Bayern Munich 0-4 Real Madrid (Agg 0-5)

Real Madrid have trashed defending champions Bayern Munich 0-4 in the second leg of their semifinals at the Allianz Arena yesterday to advance, 5-0 on aggregate, into the Champions League 2014 Final.

Sergio Ramos headed the ball twice into the net to put Los Blancos on command 2-0 within just 20 minutes.

The first goal came from a Luka Modric corner in the 16th and four minutes later it was Pepe who flicked forward an Angel Di Maria free kick. On both occasions Ramos headed the ball comfortably past Neuer.

Cristiano Ronaldo added the third before the break by finishing a perfect counterattack following Gareth Bale’s assist.

It was Cristiano’s 15th goal in this Champions League season as the Portuguese superstar broke the record for strikes in one campaign.

Bayern came back from the break knowing they needed 5 goals to progress but the German champions never looked even close to molest Iker Casillas despite dominating the possession.

And it was Cristiano Ronaldo who eventually increased the final score (and his scoring record) when he drilled a free kick under the wall already in stoppage time.

Real Madrid will play the winner of the other semifinal: Chelsea and neighbours Atletico Madrid meet tonight at Stamford Bridge after a goalless first leg played in Madird last week.
