English Premiership: Man Utd 0-3 Man City | Arsenal 2-2 Swansea

Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City

Manchester City moved up to 2nd in the Premier League table after beating their neigbours, Manchester United by 3-0 at Old Trafford last night.

It took just 43 seconds for Dzeko to open the score as the Bosnian grabbed the rebound from a Samir Nasri shot that hit the post and netted from close range. It was the fastest away goal ever registered at Old Trafford in a Premier League match.

United never looked dangerous in the first half except when Juan Mata shot over the cross bar few minutes before the break.

Dzeko doubled the lead in the 56th minute with a superb volley from a Nasri corner to end any chance of a comeback.

Yaya Toure added more misery on David Moye’s men in stoppage time as his shot went into the bottom corner after collecting a loose ball inside the box.

With this result Manchester City move above Liverpool into second place with 66 points.

Chelsea remain first 3 points above the Citizens but Manuel Pellegrini’s side holds two games in hand.

Arsenal 2-2 Swansea City

Arsenal have lost even more ground in the Premier League title race as Mathieu Flamini unfortunate own goal in injury time earned Swasea a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Despite the Gunners playing much better than their opponents in early stages, it was Swansea who broke the deadlock through a Wilfried Bony header in the 11th minute.

Arsenal continued pressuring but could not find the equalizer before the break.

After the restart, Podolski substituted Oxlade-Chamberlain and made instant impact on the match as the German poked in a Kieran Gibbs cross to level matters and one minute later assisted Giroud who made it 2-1 from close range.

It looked like Arsene Wenger’s men were on course for the victory but a series of unfortunate deflections following Leon Britton's run into the box ended up with Flamini sending the ball into his own net.

After being trashed by Chelsea 6-0 last weekend, it seems Arsenal’s title credentials have suddenly expired as they sit in 4th place 6 points below Mourniho’s men.
