Chelsea 1-0 Stoke City

Chelsea ended Stoke City's cup run and earned a trip to Manchester City in the next round, after defeating them 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. It was a rather one-sided affair, as Chelsea hit the post twice and wasted numerous chances. The goal came in the 27th minute, Oscar unleashing an outstanding free-kick from 25 yards out which cleared the wall and passed keeper Asmir Begovic into the far corner of the net. Stoke's Stephen Ireland saw his chance hit the side netting, and Oscar nearly got his second moments later only to see his shot hit the post. Chelsea tried hard to put the game beyond reach, Ramires and Eto'o both going close but Oscars goal was enough to see the Blues through to the next round.
