Arsenal 2-0 Southampton

Arsenal played and won a tough match which ended in a 2-0 win over Southampton on Saturday. Olivier Giroud scored a simple goal after a mistake by the Southampton keeper in the 22nd minute. In the 2nd half, Southampton controlled the match as Daniel Osvaldo came on and Rodriguez and Lambert got close as Arsenal planned a counter attack. Although Southampton had some impressive moves, Arsenal ended up victorious when Jose Fonte pulled back Per Mertesacker and a penalty was awarded resulting in Giroud scored his second goal of the afternoon.

Everton 3-3 Liverpool

A late equaliser by Daniel Sturridge ended in a 3-3 draw for Liverpool against Everton on Saturday. Philippe Coutinho scored an early goal, but Kevin Mirallas soon equalised. A goal by Suarez took Liverpool up a goal before the break but Everton responded in style. Romelu Lukaku scored the equaliser before his header from Mirallas's corner Everton in the lead. With two minutes left, Gerrard's free-kick connected with Sturridge for a beautiful final goal.
