Sevilla humiliate Manchester United in Europa League

Sevilla has advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League after defeating Manchester United 3-0 at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. The Spanish side took an early lead through Youssef En Nesyri in the eighth minute, thanks to a clever assist from Erik Lamela. Manchester United struggled to find their rhythm and saw a goal disallowed for offside in the 41st minute, as Lucas Ocampos was deemed to be offside by the VAR.

All hopes dashed in 2nd half

The Red Devils went into half-time trailing 1-0 but were optimistic about turning the game around. They still needed only one goal to get into extra time. However, their hopes were quickly dashed when French defender Loic Bade headed a corner by Rakitic over David de Gea in the goal. A two-goal cushion that was very hard for Manchester United to overcome.

Sevilla goes to semi-final

Manchester United pushed forward in search of a goal to get back into the match, but Sevilla's defence held strong. En Nesyri scored his second goal of the game in the 81st minute to secure the win for the Spanish side, who will now face Juventus in the semi-finals. Sevilla is already the Europa League club with 6 titles, can they add a seventh title this season?

What’s next for Manchester United?

This defeat will come as a major blow to Manchester United, who had been hoping to win the Europa League to secure a spot in next season's Champions League. However, they will now turn their attention to the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, as they continue their quest for silverware this season. FA Cup final tickets are already available if they managed to beat Brighton. Will Man United managed to finish the season on a high with an FA Cup trophy? A top 4 place seems pretty much secured, so adding a second trophy to their season should be main priority now.
