Shock victories in Group E and F on World Cup

We said it before, the World Cup is entering the most interesting match of the tournament. Groups are entering the final part of the Group stages, where teams are getting knocked out. Other teams surprise the whole footballing World by getting qualified for the next round. Group E and F are by far the most surprising groups of this tournament. Morocco versus Spain

Morocco was one of those teams that surprised a lot of people. They always seem to have a good squad with some exceptional players, but it isn’t always a team. The new manager Hoalid Regragui really created a strong team with players like Noussair Mazraoui, Achraf Hakimi and of course Hakim Ziyech. The latter who returned playing for the national team after falling out with the previous manager, is one of the stars of this team. He scored the opening goal against Canada. A match they won with 2-1, after which they ended up finishing first in the group. Their opponents are going to be Spain. Spain finished second after losing against Japan. Not the best result for Spain, but now they dodged the side of Brazil. Something that could be vital in their dreams to reach the World Cup final. Japan versus Croatia

Japan is responsible for the biggest shock in the group stages final results. In a group with Spain and Germany, Japan lost against Costa Rica. Nevertheless they finished in first place after beating Spain and Germany. This first place gives them a very interesting draw. Croatia finished second in the group with Morocco, Belgium and Canada. The Croatian national team is a bit older and will struggle with the Japanese team. This is probably one of the hardest round of 16 matches to call.
