World Cup 2022 Group B preview

Last week we started with our World Cup preview series. In the first article we previewed Group A of the World Cup. This time it’s Group B’s turn. Group B is the group all English football fans are fixated on. The group where England takes on Iran, United States and Wales. England

England is the top team in this group and by far the favourites to win this group. The team reached the semi-final in the previous World Cup and the final of the Euros. The team is a perfect combination of experienced players and youngsters. The big question is, can they do even better this time, or did they reached their top during the previous two tournaments?

United States

United States is one where football never was a priority. Over the last decades, football has increased its popularity in the States. More and more American players make a move to big teams in Europe, but also the MLS is getting better each season. Chelsea player Christian Pulisic is one of the main guys of the team. USA will probably fight with Iran and Wales for the second place of the group.

Iran

Iran is the most unknown team in this group. Former Brighton and Hove Albion player Alireza Jahanbakhsh is one of the best players in this team. They will kick this tournament off in a match against Engeland. So it’s early in the tournament we know how strong this team really is. Can they battle for the top 2 in this group?

Wales

Wales is the last team to join the World Cup group B. They faced Ukraine in the European play off finals. Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are the two star players for the Welsh side.
