Manchester City

A week ago we said it was all pretty quiet at the Etihad Stadium. In the meantime a lot of things happened. Manchester City officially signed England international Kalvin Phillips

from Leeds United. Around the same time Romeo Lavia left the club to join Southampton. Julian Alvarez also joined the club after finishing his last match in Argentina. It looks like Manchester City will be focussing on outgoing players in the next week. Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake are looking likely to join Chelsea in the next few days. So there’s a little chance they will play in the Community Shield match at the end of this month.

Liverpool

The red part of the Merseyside is extremely quiet at this moment. There aren’t even any serious rumours about players Liverpool is targeting. Their biggest move of this transfer window is the contract extension for Mohamed Salah. The most important player in recent years, extended his contract till the summer of 2025. A big relieve for Liverpool, since his contract was going to expire at the end of next season. Neco Williams is one of few Liverpool players who is heavily linked on an outgoing transfer.
