Liverpool signs prolific striker in Darwin Nunez
Earlier this week we wrote an article about the signing of Erling Haaland by Manchester City. The Norwegian striker was the latest top signing in the Premier League in that moment of time. Now a few days later, we know Liverpool immediately took action and announced the signing of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nuñez. With this transfer, but top two teams in the Premier already signed a very good young striker.
No to Manchester United
For quite some time the rumours were Manchester United was the frontrunner to sign Darwin Nuñez this summer. In the meantime Liverpool entered the race without any hesitation. The Reds from Liverpool took the matters in their own hands and showed a real purpose. It was a definite move without any hesitations. The opportunity for the Uruguayan striker to play for a team that played multiple Champions League finals, made it an easy decision. At Liverpool he can play for the Premier League title, something that isn’t likely for Manchester United in the next couple of years.
