Man City versus Liverpool FA Cup semi-final

The two main teams in the Premier League and maybe even in the World, faced each other at Wembley. It was the second time in a week Man City and Liverpool played each other. Just like in the previous game, there was an early goal in this match. This time it was Konate who opened the score. Sadio Mane doubled the lead after a big mistake by Steffen. Just before half-time Sadio Mane scored his second goal of the game, giving his team a 3-0 lead. Manchester City scored one back early in the second half by Jack Grealish. The second goal stayed out for too long. It wasn’t until the 91st minute before Bernardo Silva scored City’s second goal. This was the last goal of the game, putting Liverpool in the FA Cup final.

Repeat of history?

The 2011-2012 season FA Cup final was an interesting match between Chelsea and Liverpool. Chelsea won that match 2-1. Ramires and Droga scored for Chelsea, while Andy Carroll got one back for Liverpool. Ten years later, we can have the same match-up in the final. Chelsea plays their semi-final on Sunday against Crystal Palace. If Chelsea can win this, they will be the opponents of Liverpool. Either way this is going to be a very special final. Wembley will be stacked, with loads of Liverpool fans.
