Premier title decider undecided

The eyes of the football World were all directed at Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Sunday afternoon. The match between Manchester City and Liverpool was often referred to as the game of the season and even game of the decade. If it wasn’t the game of the decade then at least it was the title decider in the 2021-2022 Premier League season. Manchester City started this match with a 1 point lead to Liverpool. A win in this match would increase the gap to 4 points, which Man City should be able to defend. A Liverpool win would give the Reds a 2 point lead and the momentum.

Exciting battle at Etihad Stadium

The match between both teams was a very intense battle. Liverpool started with very high press, but the first time Manchester City avoided the press they got a big chance. A minute after the miss by Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne opened the score for Man City. Diogo Jota equalised in the 13th minute, after which Gabriel Jesus brought City back in the lead before half-time. Just after half-time it was Sadio Mane who got it all level again. A goal by Raheem Sterling got cancelled out because of offside according to VAR. In the dying minutes of the game, Riyad Mahrez got a huge opportunity to give Man City the three points, but he failed. This led to a 2-2 score and nothing has been decided yet in the Premier League.
