Also all-English Europa League final still an option

A few days ago, we wrote an article about wrote an article about the Champions League, where Manchester City and Chelsea will try to force all-English final. This time it’s all about the Europa League semi-finals. Two semi-finals with also an English contender is each one of the semis. It’s clear that English football has a very dominant position in Europe at the moment, but will they go for a complete domination or will either Man United or Arsenal drop out of the competition just before the final?

Manchester United versus AS Roma

Manchester United played the first match at home against AS Roma. The Roma side that had some luck reaching the semi-finals. When Dani Ceballos got a red card early in the second half, Arsenal looked done and dusted. Villarreal missed some opportunities to score their third goal, but they failed to do so. A penalty for Arsenal and a red card for Villarreal changed the whole game. Arsenal got their desired away goal and will feel confident to finish the tie at home. Villarreal will travel to London feeling confident as well, with their lead. Still everything to play for in this match.
