Race for Premier League top 4 is on!

Before the lockdown the places looked to be divided. Liverpool was clearly going to win the Premier League with Manchester City as runners-up. Leicester City and Chelsea were going to decided who would get third and fourth. In the few post-lockdown rounds everything changed. The race for the Premier League top 4 is really on now.

< a href="https://www.livefootballtickets.com/english-premiership/leicester-city-tickets.html">Leicester City is one of the teams that haven't fared well by the lockdown. In the three post lockdown Premier League matches, they haven't won a match. This gave Chelsea to take the third place on Wednesday this week. In a very entertaining match against West Ham United, the Blues lost with 3-2. These results were welcomed with open arms by the fans of Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Those teams are currently in fifth and sixth place on 52 points. Which means both teams are 3 points of third placed Leicester City (55 points). Chelsea is now only two points in front of the Red Devils and Wolves.

Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers hit the ground running after the lockdown. The fact that both teams are currently only 3 points behind the third place will give their fans a lot of hope. It would be amazing if all four teams can keep up with each other for the next couple of rounds. The last round of play involves two matches with these two teams. Leicester City plays in round 38 at home against Manchester United. At the same time, Chelsea plays at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers. With this schedule all four teams have it in their own hands to finish in fourth place. If the Man City ban for European football stands, three out of these four teams will qualify for the Champions League.
