Bayern Munich’s season

Niko Kovac took over at the start of this season at BayernBundesliga fixtures 4 points ahead of Dortmund, knowing a win in their next match will guarantee the title. This will be their 7th straight Bundesliga in a row, however, it will also be the tightest contested one in the last couple of years.

Two of their biggest legends, Ribery and Robben are leaving at the end of the season. This is something that will make lots of Bayern fans very sad, as they have achieved so much at this club. However, it is the moment for them to move on and find somewhere to end their career. For Bayern, it will also be a good time for them to be able to move forward and get in a couple of young wingers into their ranks. Ribery has spent 12 years at Bayern, played over 400 games and winning 21 honors including 8 Bundesliga titles, which is a huge achievement. Robben has played over 300 matches for them scored 143 goals and winning 18 major honors.

As well as the league, Bayern are in the DFB Pokal final a week after the Bundesliga season against RB Leipzig, which could complete a domestic double. This is something that is expected of Bayern, and they will be disappointed by the fact that they were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool in the round of 16. There were moments during the season where it looked like Kovac was going to lose his job, however, he steered through the rough waters and will be given at least another season to bring in some fresh faces and try to win the Champions League.
