Serious delay in building New White Hart Lane

The home match against Liverpool was supposed to be the first match in the new White Hart Lane for Tottenham Hotspur. They planned a lot of festivities around the opening of their new bigger and improved version of White Hart Lane, but all these plans can be thrown in the bin. The opening of the new stadium, with a capacity of 62,062, has been forced to delay due to “issues with the critical safety systems”. This will cause some serious problems, since the Spurs were prepared to start playing in the new stadium from the 15th of September.

The biggest problem is going to be the home match against the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. This match, scheduled for the 28th of October, can’t be played at Wembley. The Philadelpia Eagles and Jacksonsville already booked Wembley on that day for a match in the NFL. It’s now up to Tottenham Hotspur to find another stadium for the match against Manchester City. It’s also possible that this match is going to be rescheduled, but this is also hard, since both teams will play in the Champions League during the week. The FA will sit together with both teams to make sure everything is arranged as soon as possible. We will keep an eye on this and let you know as soon as we know something.

We at Livefootballtickets.com are busy changing everything as far as our information goes. Tottenham tickets for the matches that changed location will be changed asap.
