Manchester City willing to sell Joe Hart

Joe Hart, former goalkeeper of the English national team, wants to leave Manchester City. The 31-year-old is Guardiola’s third option in the goal, behind Brazilian Ederson and the Chilean Claudio Bravo. Joe Hart came to Manchester in the summer of 2006 and played over 250 Premier League matches ever since.

Hart lost his place in the goal since the arrival of Pep Guardiola. The Spanish manager expects more from a goalkeeper than Joe Hart can give him. He wants his goalkeeper to be strong with his feet, which Joe Hart obviously isn’t. Besides that, he has made too many mistakes to be the goalkeeper of Manchester City. The Citizens want to win the Community Shield, FA Cup, Premier League and of course the Champions League and they need a reliable goalkeeper to do so. Joe Hart isn’t the man for this job. He was on loan at West Ham United last season, but even there he got benched after a while.

Community Shield goalkeeper

There is a chance Pep wants to wait to after the Community Shield before selling Hart. His first option goalkeeper Ederson played on the World Cup in Russia and won’t be able to play this match. Claudio Bravo will be the first goalkeeper for the Community Shield, but Pep might want to have Joe Hart on the bench in case anything happens with Bravo.
