World Cup Final Tickets

The World Cup is operated by FIFA. The World CUp is an international competition of national teams, started in 1930. The tournament takes place every four years in a different country or countries. The World Cup was cancelled in 42 and 46 because of WWII. Germany hosted the previous World Cup Final, which was won by Italy, who defeated France on penalty shots. The next World Cup Final will be in South Africa on July 11 2010.

About World Cup Final Tickets

The 2010 FIFA World Cup Final - Match 64 - will be played on Sunday, July 11th at Soccer Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa at the end of the wildly popular premier international football tournament, held between June 11-July 11th, 2010 in South Africa. The competition is the culmination of a qualification process that began in August 2007. A total of 32 qualified teams competed, with one place allocated to the hosts, South Africa. In the qualification process, the six FIFA confederations were allocated a share of the 31 remaining spots as follows: Europe (UEFA): 13 places, Africa (CAF): 5 places (+ South Africa qualified automatically as host nation for a total of 6 places), South America (CONMEBOL): 4 or 5 places, Asia (AFC): 4 or 5 places, North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF): 3 or 4 places, and Oceania (OFC): 1 place. This will be the 19th FIFA World Cup to date and the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation. Italy is the defending champion, however they did not automatically qualify. The draw for the finals will take place on December 4, 2009 in Cape Town, Africa. Sixty-four soccer matches will be played in ten stadiums in nine South African cities: Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, and Rustenburg.
