CL: Chelsea 2-0 PSG (3-3) | Dortmund 2-0 Real (2-3)

Chelsea 2-0 Paris Saint-Germain (3-3 Agg – Chelsea win on away goals)

Chelsea secured their place in the Champions League semi-finals last night as a late goal from substitute Demba Ba earned a 2-0 victory over Paris Saint Germain at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues advance thanks to the away goal rule following their 3-1 defeat in the first leg in Paris last week.

Andre Schurrle came in from the bench in the first half to replace injured Eden Hazard and score the first goal of the game.

David Luiz flicked the ball following a Branislav Ivanovic throw-in and the German opened the scoring from close range.

Schurrle could have doubled the lead after the restart but his effort came back off the cross bar only to see Oscar hit the woodwork again from a free kick two minutes later.

Mourinho replaced Lampard for Ba in the 66th minute and the Senegal forward became the hero of the night when he was the first to touch Cesar Azipilicueta’s deflected pass andsend it into the back of the net with 3 minutes to go.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sprinted down the sideline to celebrate with his pupils and send Stamford Bridge supporters into raptures.

"It's a good victory, but so many semifinals for me, so many semifinals for Chelsea," Mourinho told reporters after the match. "It’s nothing extraordinary."

Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg 2-3)

Real Madrid have reached the Champions League semifinals for a fourth consecutive year despite suffering a 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park last night.

The 3-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg last week turned out to be crucial as Dortmund outplayed Los Blancos in style but could not find the third goal to force the extra time.

Marco Reus’ brace in the first half put the Germans on the brink of what it could have been another thrilling comeback but despite Dortmund having several chances to score, they could not find the net throughout the rest of the match.
