Ryan Giggs extends United contract for another year
Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has signed a one-year contract extension, committing him to the Red Devils for a 23rd straight season.
The only player to score in every Premier League season he played, the 38-year-old Giggs made his first-team debut in March 1991 and has never played for another club.

Giggs has made 898 appearances scoring 162 goals. He’s won a record 12 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and four F.A. Cups during his career.
“When I signed my first contract, I never thought I’d be able to play at United for 22 years, but I feel good and I know I can still contribute to keeping the team pushing for honors,” Giggs said.
Sir Alex Ferguson told reporters: “Ryan is a marvelous player. In many ways, he epitomizes all my teams here at United: he has constantly re-invented himself, adapted to the changing nature of the game and retained that desire and hunger for success. In every training session and match, he is the example for others to follow.”

Giggs admitted he never expected to play for Manchester United for such a long time but suggested he will continue to do so while he remains an important and contributing player in Ferguson's squad.

The Welsh has three goals in 22 matches this season to help United to second place in the league, two points behind Manchester City.
