The Carinthian capital of Austria, Klagenfurt, is a city spread by the lake of Wörthersee and River Glan. SK Austria Klagenfurt, the local club participating in the Austrian Regional League Central, is based in the city. The club was founded in 2007 after a merger between two local football clubs. In the current season the club has obtained sixth position in Austrian Regional League. Wörthersee Stadion is the home ground that SK Austria uses both for practice and play. Wörthersee Stadion, also known as Hypo Group Arena, is a multipurpose stadium where football matches in Klagenfurt take place. Built in 2007, the stadium is having a capacity of 32,000 and has hosted few matches of 2008 Euro Cup.
