Stoke City FC also known as The Potters are the second oldest club in the league .They are based in Stoke-on-Trent, they play all their home matches at the all seater Britannia Stadium which has a capacity of 28,376. They were originally founded by an ex Charterhouse School pupil Henry Almond in 1868 who was club captain and also scored their first ever goal. Stoke city won their first major trophy in 1972 in the League Cup final against Chelsea who they beat 2-1. They have also won the football league trophy twice in 1992 and most recently 2000. Stoke FC´s 2008/09 season will see them make their first appearance in the Premiership, they won promotion by finishing second in the championship finishing two points behind West Bom.
